ESPN.com Renews Agreement with Sherdog.com for Mixed Martial Arts Coverage Online
LOS ANGELES–March 31, 2009–ESPN.com and Sherdog.com have extended their agreement for Mixed Martial arts coverage and cross-promotion. The deal extends the original agreement the two sites signed in May 2007. Sherdog.com is the largest Mixed Martial Arts news and information site online. Under the agreement, ESPN will continue to highlight exclusive, in-depth Sherdog content contextually within ESPN.com, including news, interviews, videos, event listings, and more.
Sherdog content will continue to help power ESPN.com’s Mixed Martial Arts section, integrating with ESPN’s original MMA coverage, including the original online studio program, MMA Live. Sherdog content will include news and analysis, fighter profiles, Sherdog’s Fight Finder module - allowing users to search the largest fighter database online for stats and personal information. Sherdog’s weekly online Radio show is also offered at ESPNRadio.com and for download via the ESPN PodCenter.
